CRAZY day. I got locked out of my house!

Picking up my car
So this morning I got a call that my truck's rotors had been replaced again and it was ready to pick up. I had to go to the dentist so I grabbed my bike and headed off. But I forgot something -- my keys! I realized I didn't have them as soon as I locked the door and closed it!
I went to the shop and got my car and then went to the dentist's. I went to my parent's house to see if I could use the spare key I gave them, but I picked the wrong ones and still couldn't get in. Eventually I found a way to get in through the window.
Day
I kinda wasted a bit of my day but eventually got up and went over to ERC. I'm really glad I did because there was a great message at the evening service and then I got to catch up with some friends afterward. I'll put my notes below.

Who's knocking at the door?
- Revelation 3:20 (red letters)
- In all of the religions of the world, people are trying to get to the level of God, except one: Christianity, where God comes to our level.
- Jesus is knocking on the door, until you open the door
- Jesus is *pursuing* you and I [expand this: such as a man romantically pursues a woman]
- Note: This letter is written to the Church of Laodicea
Who else is at the door?
- Take heed! Genesis 4:7 - Sin is crouching at your door. It desires to have you, but you must rule over it.
- Sin and Satan are crouching at your door, right now.
- When asked in Job by God, "Where have you been?" Satan answers "I have been roaming the earth."
- Satan is looking to devour. He's a roaring lion looking to tear us apart: every aspect of our lives and relationships
- John 10: He has come to *steal, kill, and destroy*
- A little peek, a little give, given an inch, will take us a mile
- John 8:44
- You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Two key words in this message
- IN: Allowing Jesus in
- OUT: Closing the door on Satan: Get OUT! (Satan flees from that name)
When we go out in dark places...when we encounter dreams... when we are tempted.... we can say, over and over for each temptation, each pull: OUT! In the name of Jesus!

- Family, relationships, nation, teams, the church

I have come....That they may have life, and have it abundantly
- Jesus is not going to force himself on you. He comes and knocks. Will we open the door?
- This is territory: we are the territory of Jesus. Defend the territory!
